Nutella Pekan Nut Croissants

ree

Are you a fan of the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked croissants and the irresistible sweetness of Nutella? Today, you'll unite these two worlds and top it off with pecans. Your Pecan Nutella Croissants recipe is not only incredibly tasty but also a breeze to prepare. Perfect for a cozy weekend breakfast or a sweet snack in between.

Ingredients

  • 1 packet of flaky pastry (from the chiller cabinet)

  • 1/2 cup pecans, roughly chopped

  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Nutella

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit) using the convection setting. A properly preheated oven is crucial for successful baking.

  • Place butter in a pot and let it brown on low heat until it turns into nutty butter. This will give your croissants an extra flavor kick.

  • Roughly chop the pecans and roast them in the brown butter. Add a pinch of salt, and you've got the perfect filling for your croissants.

  • Roll out the puff pastry. For this recipe, I used a whole wheat dough from the supermarket. Here's a tip: opt for a round pre-made dough as it's easier to handle.

  • Cut the round dough into small pieces, similar to a pizza.

  • First, spread a generous layer of Nutella on each piece of dough. Then sprinkle the roasted pecans on top.

  • Now, roll each piece of dough from the outside in. And voila, you've got beautiful croissants.

  • Bake everything in the oven according to the package instructions. In my case, it took about 18 minutes. After that, you can savor your homemade Pecan Nutella Croissants!
