An absolute camping or barbecue classic the baked potato. Of course, when camping or grilling, it is traditionally prepared in a campfire and not in the oven. It is a simple dish and yet so delicious. It's also ideal for flexitarian diets. The baked potato is again another example of how versatile the potato can be. Traditionally served with a herb curd. This dish can be found nowadays especially on warm summer days in many German beergardens. But as I said on our food blog, I'll show you today how you can make a super baked potato at home.
Ingredients
Ingredients baked potato:
4 baked potatoes
4 sprigs rosemary and four sprigs thyme
4 cloves garlic
If you like spicy a little chili
Some olive oil
Ingredients herb curd:
250g curd
Herbs: chives, parsley, dill, mint, chervil
Salt Pepper
Some olive oil
Lemon juice of half a lemon and zest
Garlic pressed from half a clove
Half teaspoon of paprika powder
Instructions
Preparation baked potato:
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees top-bottom heat. Wash the potatoes well and scrub with a brush if necessary. Then place the individual potatoes in aluminum foil with the herbs and olive oil. Cook on a baking sheet in the oven for about 40 minutes. In the meantime, prepare herb curd and check with a needle if the potato is soft.
Preparation herb curd:
Wash and chop the herbs. Put curd in a bowl and add chopped herbs. Add remaining ingredients and season with salt pepper.
Resumé
Suitable through and through for the flexitarian diet. Simple, but through the fresh herbs in the curd an absolute treat for the soul. In addition, a cheap dish, because you can grow the herbs, for example, in your own small herb patch.
