Classic Italian appetizer - bruschetta boat

Updated: Oct 16, 2022

It's time again for a simple yet flavorful dish, the "bruschetta boat". This classic has traveled directly from the Italian kitchen to our Munich hearts. In addition, our "Bruschetta boat" is also by its intense colors: red, green and white, visually a real "highlight" and also reflects the colors of the Italian flag.

Ingredients

  • 2 Ciabatta rolls

  • 6 tomatoes

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • ½ cucumber

  • 20g parmesan cheese

  • Some fresh basil

  • A dash of olive oil

  • Lime juice and lime zest

  • Balsamic cream

  • Salt/Pepper

Instructions

The first step is to cut the buns open and remove the insides. Then put some olive oil in each half and rub it with the crushed garlic clove.

While the buns are in the oven at 200 degrees for about five minutes, we now move on to the vegetables. Remove the seeds from the tomatoes and cucumber and cut them into cubes. Now marinate both with olive oil, salt, pepper, lime juice and lime zest. Then chop some basil and mix it with the fresh tomato and cucumber salad.

Next, take out the buns, which will serve as our boats, from the oven and load them. Finally we refine our "boats" with the balsamic cream and the grated parmesan.

Resumé

Vegan, simple and incredibly delicious. Quick to prepare and easy for every sailor to cook at home. We from food for felxitarians wish you a lot of fun while setting sail.
