Your new Favourite dip - Baba Ganoush!

Baba Ghanoush is also like hummus, a delicious dip from oriental cuisine. Also, here you get with only a few ingredients to a brilliant vegan spread. Here, the main ingredient is a grilled/stewed eggplant. It tastes great with fresh vegetable sticks or is a super souvenir at barbecues as a vegan dip. In its preparation, Baba Ghanoush gets a natural BBQ note and is, therefore, the ideal substitute for ready-bought BBQ sauces from the supermarket. An essential ingredient of Baba Ghanoush is also tahini paste. It is made from finely ground sesame seeds. During my last vacation in Israel, you could see a sesame mill in many markets and taste the fresh sesame paste.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggplant(s), approx. 500g

  • 3 tablespoons sesame paste (tahini)

  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil,

  • 2 clove(s) of garlic

  • salt and pepper, from the mill

Instructions

To create a pleasing BBQ aroma, let the eggplants burn pretty intensely on the grill. In the process, the eggplants may already become entirely black (later, only the braised inner flesh of the eggplant is taken).

If you don't have a grill, grill the eggplants classically in the oven at 180 degrees for about half an hour until they are soft.

Let the braised eggplants cool down only briefly. Cut in half while still warm and now scrape out the inside of the eggplant.

Now mix the flesh with the remaining ingredients with a hand blender to a homogeneous mass.

Resumé

This dip is simply outstanding! I would be lying to you if I didn't celebrate it. A killer dip for everyone and super easy to make. Guys, buy an eggplant now and make this dip; GO!
